The longest class names in Java
· #java#fun
The memes about absurdly long class names in Java projects are nothing new. The classic example is HasThisTypePatternTriedToSneakInSomeGenericOrParameterizedTypePatternMatchingStuffAnywhereVisitor — a real class in AspectJ.
Well, Apple’s engineers decided not to fall behind the trend either — see the Contacts constants. The long ones turn out to be the constants describing family relationships in the address book.
Some cultures — Kazakhs, for example — have compact, single words for fairly distant kinship relations. I wonder how many of the constants in that list have their own dedicated word in Kazakh?
